Give your child the
best start to secondary school.

Year 5 enrolments are now open at Kempsey
Adventist School — and the earlier your child joins
us, the smoother their journey through school will
be.

At Kempsey Adventist School we recognise that starting secondary school can feel like a big step. It’s stepping outside that familiar primary classroom, navigating schedules, new teachers and new parts of the school. Moving to an earlier intake means we are nurturing the wellbeing of our students, because at the heart of our culture is our students.

That’s why we’ve decided to give our students the best opportunity to finish primary school strong and feel confident and calm about their secondary school journey.

From 2027, our Year 7 intake will move to a Year 5 intake, encouraging our families to start their journey with us in primary school.

A Gentle Transition

Rather than navigating the leap from primary to secondary school in a single step, starting in Year 5 gives your child the opportunity to ease into new expectations, structures, and learning environments at a pace that supports their confidence and emotional growth.

Stronger Relationships from the Start

Beginning earlier means your child has more time to form meaningful connections with their teachers and peers. These foundational relationships create a sense of belonging and security that carries them through their secondary school journey.

Wellbeing at the Centre

We understand that the transition into secondary school can be a significant milestone for young learners. By welcoming students in Year 5, we are able to prioritise their social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing during a pivotal stage of their development — ensuring they feel known, valued, and supported every step of the way.
